Cascais and The
Sailors Weathering the Storm
Cascais received
us very well, specially after those hard days at sea. The welcome really
arrived from every side, amazing reception from the Marina staff and a night
out on the “Brazilian Pub, bar, boat… pub, boat, bar…” just there waiting for
the four sailors thirsty weathering the storm.
It had been a
hard or should I say an easy week? The trip would take around two weeks if we
were not caught by the forecast, gasps of 50kn on the marina, and I am sure stronger
out there, I confess I didn't bother to check the weather, well I checked the
waves, around 10m offshore. Telling the truth Cascais received us very well, we
sorted out the boat and personal stuff, I think I can say I put only a third of
my life in order, or at least on course, North now, we all are happy with this.
I heard Cascais is one of the most hot spots
in Portugal, waves around, universities, and when we have this combination I
know it is a good party place. Which we did, first thing became friend with the
locals on the Pub just over there, right on the marina. Afternoons and eves were
being enjoyed over there, close to the boat, easy life! we don’t have to move
further to do some virtual network.
